Cyber Security - Are Your Accounts Secure?

Cyber security alert: are your accounts and devices secure?

Today, I'm offering a friendly reminder that you probably need to create more secure passwords for your accounts and devices. WHY? Because with the current state of our world, cyber attacks (hacking, malware, etc.) are increasing, and NOBODY wants to deal with the aftermath of getting hacked... TRUST ME. #speakingfromexperience

#CEOtalk This topic is especially important for small business owners. WHY?

  1. As the leader of your organization, it's your job to protect it.

  2. Because if your business gets hacked, your livelihood is in substantial danger. YES, I SAID IT.

Don't let your future get compromised because you're (frankly) too lazy/forgetful/uninspired to make security a real, active practice with your personal and business accounts. As I mentioned in my Stories, I've been on the receiving end of phone calls from clients asking me to help them undo the damage done to email, websites, social media, etc. because they used their address or phone number as their account password and were surprised that someone figured it out. And, it just adds insult to injury having to pay someone else potentially a lot of money to correct things (if that's even possible) when the entire situation could have potentially been avoided in the first place. Of course, you can have all the security precautions in place and still have compromised accounts... but at that point, it's on them, NOT YOU.

I saved the Story videos in my Instagram Highlights under "Cyber Security," if you want to go check them out for tips on how to create more secure passwords. This series and this post are inspired by the person/entity currently sending me malicious emails.
