Business Leader Book Recommendations
I don't know about you, but I've found it difficult to read as an adult because I always have something else on my to-do list… after all, running your own business kind of keeps things busy!
During the pandemic, I was reminded of how much I loved reading as a child (hello, bookworm here!), and I have made an effort to read more books in the past couple of years for personal and professional enrichment. I also participant in a business book club, so that helps with accountability to continue reading and growing, especially as a business leader.
In an effort to encourage other business leaders to read more, here are eight picks that I found helpful for professional and personal development.

This is a quintessential book about being a good human, and as a result, learning how to successfully engage with others in the workplace. This is one of my favorite book club picks, and I highly recommend reading it every so often just to be reminded of the importance of treating people well.
Win at Work and Succeed at Life by Michael Hyatt and Megan Hyatt Miller
If you’re struggling with how to balance work and life, especially as a business owner, Michael Hyatt and Megan Hyatt Miller (father-daughter duo) outline practical steps to take to be successful in both areas. Suggestions are practical and thought-provoking.
We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers
If you need a pump-you-up, you-got-this-girl, motivational life and business coach, Rachel Rodgers has you covered. She wrote this book to educate women about how society has stacked the deck against women being financially successful and then outlines practical tips and mindset shifts that will help women make smart decisions to pave the road to becoming more financially successful. Warning, there is some strong language in this book.
The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks

The author’s intent is to help you skip the MBA program and learn everything you need to know in 60 days. The book offers a supplemental training program in which videos are delivered by email every day, so you can learn more about each day’s topic.
