Adapting Your Current Marketing Messages for COVID-19
I was on a She Works His Way masterclass webinar this afternoon, and we were talking about work and life things that are being impacted by COVID-19.
When talking about business, Michellel Myers said this quote, and it perfectly sums up my thoughts about marketing today: "You cannot market this week how you marketed last week because the world is not the same."

I've been working behind the scenes on behalf of my social media, website, and marketing clients these past two weeks to help them communicate the changes that are happening so fast these days. We're now in a state of flux, where pivoting, adaptation, and grace are required. That means canceling pre-scheduled social media posts and emails! In fact, I'm in the process of doing this today for all my clients -- putting a hard stop to all existing communications so they can be reviewed, edited, and/or changed to better reflect what's happening today.
That being said, if YOU have not revisited your current marketing messages, DO IT TODAY. Put on the lens of how the world looks today and (re)craft your content accordingly. You might have to put some existing content on hold, while other content may be great as-is. Either way, do your due diligence and check in on your marketing messages to be sure they're accurate and helpful for your target audience(s) right now.
